In recent times both urologists and gynecologists are often involved in the performance of various urogynecological procedures including many vaginal prolapse procedures and corrective urinary incontinence surgeries. This session will help all attendees through the accurate steps of coding these procedures. Knowledge of these coding/billing principles will allow correct reimbursements and avoidance of denials and loss of payments. CPT codes are now in place as well as coding mechanisms for coding new clinical scenarios.
Basic and advanced procedure coding will be explained using specific clinical examples, with modifier use, and correct use of ICD-10-CM codes. Coding tips for correct urogynecological procedure coding will be stressed with tips to get it right the first time and thus avoid claim denials and revenue loss.
Urologists, gynecologists, urogynecologists, PAs, NPs, and any surgeon or staff members involved in the performance of urogynecological procedures should attend this audio-conference to learn proper coding and to help from losing entitled payments. Coders, billers, and office staff wishing to learn and enhance their knowledge of urogynecological procedural coding will benefit from attending this session.
