New ICD-10-CM discharging codes have been put in place by the CMS. These code changes are set to take effect starting in October 2017 right through September 2018, this includes all patient encounters during this period. The general equivalence mappings (GEMs) information has been made available by the CMS. As things stand, the changes will usher in 363 new codes while 142 existing codes will be deleted. This webinar will focus on the effects and implementation protocols of the ICD-10-CM code changes on Cardiology.
